The Moroccan U-20 national team made history by winning the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup after defeating Argentina 2-0 in the final held at the National Stadium in Santiago, Chile, on Monday morning WIB (Western Indonesian Time), October 20, 2025. Yassir Zabiri scored two goals in the first half to lead his team to victory.

Zabiri, who plays for FC Famalicao in the top tier of Portugal, opened the scoring for Morocco in the 12th minute, as reported by FIFA's official website. His curling shot into the top corner of the net could not be stopped by goalkeeper Santino Barbi.

Under the guidance of Mohamed Ouahbi, the team doubled their lead in the 29th minute. Ismael Baouf won the ball and passed it to Othmane Maamma, who then set it up for Zabiri to finish with a volley into the net.
