TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Army (TNI AD) will dispatch 26 soldiers to Singapore to participate in the Institutional Food Management Training at the Army Combat Service Command from October 13 to 18, 2025. The Head of the TNI AD Public Relations, Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana, said the initiative is part of the army's support for the Prabowo-led free nutritious meal program.
"This training is a concrete step for us to strengthen the safe, efficient, and sustainable supply of nutritious meals," said Wahyu in a written statement on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
The training, he said, is intended to improve human resource capability, especially in food and nutrition management.
The Indonesian army also sends four members of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana, three military companions, and one observer to Singapore, along with 26 soldiers, to participate in the training. All of them departed for Singapore from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
The food supply management training in the military institution, according to Wahyu, is a follow-up to the meeting between the Chief of Staff of the TNI AD, General Maruli Simanjuntak, and the Singapore ground armed forces in July. The meeting opened up strategic cooperation opportunities in the food security field and the strengthening of nutritious meal programs.
The TNI AD delegation will be trained in regard to the international standards management of nutritious meals, ranging from menu planning, kitchen management, food security, to food distribution.
